StopTech® Sport Rotors are direct replacement discs for your factory brake system and stock calipers. They offer improved cooling as well as other advantages the competition doesn't offer. Slotting and/or cross-drilling helps wipe away the debris that forms between the pad and the disc, adds more bite, and can help the rear brakes to match the aesthetics of a front big brake kit. The rotor finish helps prevent glazing of the pads and improves wet and dry braking performance. Additionally, StopTech® Sport Rotors feature a durable black e-coating on the non-swept areas of the rotor to prevent corrosion. All StopTech® Sport Rotors are also available cryogenically treated to better align the molecular structure of the disc for enhanced durability and longer life. When so treated, they are known as StopTech Cryo® rotors.
Engineered to perform & look good:
StopTech® Sport Rotors look great behind custom wheels, improve the initial bite of the brake pads, and help wipe away the debris that forms between the pad and the disc. A set of StopTech® rear replacement Sport Rotors is a great way to match the aesthetics of a StopTech® Big Brake Kit.
E-Coated Finish
Most StopTech® Sport Rotors are finished with black e-coating on both sides of the hat, inside the cooling vanes, and on the outside edge. E-coating is a superior electro-statically applied finish designed to withstand 400 hours of salt water exposure without rusting. This is especially important on both mounting faces of the hat where it touches the hub flange and back face of the wheel. Any accumulation of rust in these area can lead to installed lateral run out issues.
Power Alloy Metallurgy
Power Alloy metallurgy is an exclusive feature of many StopTech® rotors. In specific vehicle applications, StopTech works with foundry partners to increase the molybdenum or carbon content of the castings, and to carefully control the cooling rate during production to reach targets for hardness and tensile strength.
Cooling Vane Design
Nearly all StopTech® 1-piece rotors have unique slot or hole patterns for the left and right sides of the vehicle. For these directional patterns, straight vane or pillar vane rotors are used to ensure that a drilled hole never touches a cooling vane.

Stoptech® Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines provide a more instant, stronger, more consistent pedal response by maintaining consistent brake pressure. Additionally, stainless steel lines provide precision brake modulation, especially during threshold or panic braking. The improvement in pedal feel is more dramatic on older vehicles where the factory rubber lines have weakened and swelled due to age.
StopTech® brake lines consist of a PTFE (commonly referred to as PTFE®) inner line that carries the brake fluid, and is then covered with a layer of stainless steel woven braid. The PTFE tube is very resistant to expansion under pressure and will not degrade from exposure to brake fluid.
The braided stainless steel provides support for the PTFE and the weave is extremely durable against incidental impact and abrasion. Next the stainless braided hose is coated with a clear abrasion resistant PVC cover for maximum protection against chaffing and strain relief devices reinforce end fittings.
A variety of end fittings are available to meet most application needs. All fittings are engineered for proper fit and durability. All necessary brackets and fasteners are included with each line kit for a direct bolt on installation

Nearly all StopTech® 1-piece rotors have unique slot or hole patterns for the left and right sides of the vehicle. For these directional patterns, straight vane or pillar vane rotors are used to ensure that a drilled hole never touches a cooling vane.

::NOTE:: There are multiple brake caliper, rotor & pad configurations found on the 86-88 (S4) & 88-91 (S5) FC Mazda RX-7. Himni Racing offers every configuration & it is important that you select the correct parts for your specific application. Because brake swaps are so common on the FC today, it is not enough to buy your brakes based on what sub model RX-7 you have or what came on the car from the factory. Visual, detailed inspection of the brakes on your car, using the information we put together below is an absolute must. If you contact us because you need to exchange your brake parts, we are going to know that you didn’t do your homework. Don’t be THAT guy. If in doubt, email us & we will be happy to take care of it for you.
*Use the brake rotor chart to determine what rotors you need.
**Use the brake pad chart to determine the correct pads for your rotors.
***Pay close attention to #4 & #5 rear rotors. Though they use the same pad, they do not use the same caliper. Vented rotors cannot be used with solid rotor calipers or vice versa.
