3" Air Inlet Pipe Kit for Mazdaspeed 3, 2007-2010
High flow 3" air inlet pipe kit for MS3 (Mazdaspeed3) turbo engine. Replaces the restrictive "pancaked" inlet pipe between turbo and MAF housing built into the factory airbox.
The turbo inlet pipe is the most critical area in the entire intake tract. Many companies make "intake" kits that replace the airbox only or the pre-airbox tube, but fail to address the prior piece, the inlet pipe attached directly to the turbo compressor inlet nozzle, which is often the bottleneck of the entire intake system. A compromised inlet pipe can hold back the entire turbo system from making power to full potential. Examine the molded factory plastic piece and you will find major flow impediments including a small diameter entry leading into a severely pinched shape flowpath. The flow is convoluted to say the least and net flow volume is less than desirable.
Our replacement piece was built to handle the flow requirements of the big Garrett turbo upgrade, made of aluminum (Internal and external of inlet tube is tumble polished for maximum flow), formed with smooth transitions to integrate a more desirable flowpath and accommodates much more volume because it’s all 3” throughout. The unit can also be ordered with the proper transition coupler to fit the stock turbo and unleash more power from it. Includes all parts from turbo inlet to your "intake". Specify Garrett 4" inlet or stock turbo 2" inlet. Specify color: black, red, or blue silicone connectors.

Fujita Air Intake, Mazda 3 2004-07 2.0L/2.3L
A traditional underhood intake, also known as a Short Ram Intake, usually follows the same path as the stock intake system. There are some distinct differences between the stock intake and the Fujita Air Short Ram. A few of these differences include replacing the factory intake plenum with an aluminum plenum, eliminating resonators, air box, drop in filter, and replacing it with an open filter element. These key differences allow the vehicle to bring in more air into the intake chamber and create more horsepower and torque. Vacuum and in some cases air mass sensors, are still maintained and incorporated into the Fujita Short Ram Intake. Since a vehicle is constantly moving (except during traffic or at a light) heat soak will be of little issue since the car will constantly be bringing in fresh air. In addition, studies have shown that the material used to build the intake system has shown no loss of horsepower due to an intake being rubber, aluminum, ceramic coated, anodized, etc.

Fujita Air Intake, Mazdaspeed 3 Turbo 2006-07
A Cold Air Intake is traditionally longer and in most cases extended behind the bumper cover so that it can ingest direct air that is both cooler and denser. In addition to more direct air, the longer plenum achieves higher torque gains as well as impressive horsepower figures. Depending on the complexity of the plenum route, the Fujita Cold Air Intake may come as a 1 piece or 2 piece intake system. Different diameters, filters, and bends are all key factors of the R&D process of each Cold Air Intake. The in-house Dynojet is the final judge of which intake configuration will make it to production. Air/Fuel ratios are also an important factor in testing the Cold Air Intake, ensuring that safe and near factory levels are maintained in order to not trip any electronic sensors on the vehicle.
