AMS Front Mount Intercooler Upgrade - EVO
Just like with exhaust, it is important to free up intake restrictions toallow as much air into the engine as possible for making peak power levels. Thefactory front mount intercooler works well, but like anything "stock",it becomes a restriction as modification levels increase and will keep yourEvolution from producing maximum power.
This upgraded cores measures 20" x 12.4" x 3.625" and theoverall length, including end tanks, is 28". The core is bar and plate design and flows a massive 1250+ CFM with a miniscule 1psi of pressuredrop.
With more than 80% increased internal volume than the stock FMIC,intake flow capabilities and potential power levels are dramatically increased.In fact, a 20 horsepower or more gain or can be realized simply by bolting it on in place of your stock FMIC.
This FMIC is as large as you can fit in your Evo without major surgery. Thebumper can be retained if you wish, but you will need to remove, or at least cut the splash guard to allow for the added height of the core to come through.

Greddy Intercooler Kit - EVO
The addition of a GReddy intercooler is one of the best ways to safely increase horsepower in a turbocharged engine. By reducing the engine's inlet temperatures, a denser air charge will enter the engine; this can make more horsepower at the same boost level and even more power at higher boost levels. Even if there is a factory-installed intercooler, generally these stock units are not ideal even for factory boost levels. They are usually mounted in awkward locations and become very susceptible to heat saturation. They are not ideal for increased boost levels. Our vehicle specific kits include all the necessary mounts, aluminum piping, hoses, and clamps required to install the kit. All kits are designed with specific cores to provide an ideal concession of cooling and flow, with the added benefit of aggressive looks and style. This is achieved by finding an ideal position and configuration for a wide range of boost levels. Our engineers properly size the number of rows in the core and tune the internal core with either a free flowing V-spec. core, our new M-Spec. bar-and-plate core, or our R-Spec core with a different inner fin patterns . The V-spec and R-Spec cores are a lightweight air-to-air, tube and fin design with a highly efficient tube design, which allows smooth ambient flow for optimum heat dissipation and flow to engine cooling systems. Although only offered in very limited sizes, the M-Spec core is an economical compromise that has performance, which lies between the free flowing V-spec. and the extreme cooling potential of the R-Spec. cores. GReddy intercoolers kits offer a great balance of heat exchanging efficiency and flow. The ends of the cores are TIG-welded and capped off with our smooth flowing heavy-duty cast aluminum GReddy endtanks. Lightweight mandrel bent aluminum piping and/or cast aluminum elbows, complete with hose couplers, are used to route air charge smoothly to and from the intercooler.

HKS Intercooler Kit - EVO
HKS S-Type intercooler kits are front mount units utilizing either a 600mm X 301mm X 65mm core or a 600mm X 244mm X 65mm core. The larger core is efficient up to 450HP and the smaller core to 400HP. All S-Types utilize a multiple loop shape on the outer fins and a straight through design on the inner fins; allowing the pressurized air to quickly pass through.

HKS R Type Front Mount Kit - EVO
HKS R-Type intercooler kits are large front mount units that offer the ultimate in cooling capacity. R-Type intercoolers have been engineered to maintain efficiency on applications rated up to 800HP. Measuring 600mm X 302mm in frontal surface area, R-Type front mount intercooler kits maximize cooling efficiency. The 97mm thickness of the core allows for unrestricted internal airflow of pressurized air without affecting external airflow to the radiator. RMR Polished Hard Intercooler Pipe Kit - EVO
RMR has developed a 2.5 inch all Aluminum Pipe kit to replace the all the stock smaller rubber/aluminum stock pipes. All pipes are mandrel bent and use less bends to increase efficiency. All the pipe ends have been rolled to hold high amounts of boost. The factory blow off valve can be retained or an after market kit can be installed. The kit can be used with most intake systems including the RMR High flow filter and induction pipe and can work with several larger intercooler cores. The kit includes all silicone hoses, hose clamps, and necessary installation hardware.

Weapon R Intercooler Pipe Kit - EVO
The WR Intercooler pipe kit is made of AL6061 Aluminum and then bent from our CNC Mandrel Bender, 3-ply hi-pressure silicone hoses and hardware for an easy installation. After installation the manufacturer experienced quicker turbo responses and an avg. increase of 8-13whp gain on a properly tuned EVO.
Note: This kit will not work with the stock battery. We recommend using a slim line race battery when using this pipe kit.
