Note:: V-Band sizes are determined by the size of downpipe/ tube side of the flange & not the face/sealing side. Don't be fooled into a cheap, low quietly anything. Even something as simple as a flange or adapter are not all created equal. Installing & replacing your turbine housing is very simple. Once the turbo is removed from the car, the new housing is installed by simply removing mounting bolts holding the turbine housing to the center cartridge. The old housing then slips right off & the new housing goes back on in the reverse order. Some applications do not require that the whole turbo even be removed from the car depending on available space & leverage. This is a 1 out of 10 in difficulty.
Turbine housings are often changed or replaced for various reasons such as:
- To allow the turbo to be used with a new application, exhaust manifold or downpipe.
- To obtain a more desirable A/R size for your application.

Installing & replacing your turbine housing is very simple. Once the turbo is removed from the car, the new housing is installed by simply removing the V-band clamp holding the turbine housing to the center cartridge. The old housing then slips right off & the new housing goes back on in the reverse order. Some applications do not require that the whole turbo even be removed from the car depending on available space & leverage. This is a 1 out of 10 in difficulty.
Turbine housings are often changed or replaced for various reasons such as:

This turbo is capable of about 525 HP. Brand New Authentic Garrett Dual Ball Bearing GT30R Turbo assembly with you pick of exhaust (turbine) housing & A/R. Anti-Surge style compressor housing with 4.00" inlet and 2.00" outlet. This turbo would be comparable to the HKS GT3037. Garrett GT42R Turbo (aka GT4294R )
The big boys!--- This turbo is capable of 850 HP. Brand new & authentic Garrett GT42R (GT4294R) dual ball bearing turbo assembly. Your pick of exhaust housing with options that include T4 with 4" V-band discharge or large T6 with 5.00" V-band discharge. Also now available with the Tial stainless steel V-band inlet & outlet exhaust housing. 33% lighter!! Comes with a ported compressor housing with 5" Inlet with 3.5" V-band outlet. If big drag racing HP is what you're after, the GT42 large frame turbos are here to get the job done.
Outstanding performance for the Mazda 20B 3 rotor, 2JZ-GTE, RB25, etc.

Now also available in the form of GT45R-C (C for Compact) The GT45R-C option changes the GT45R turbo from the standard large 6.00" inlet compressor housing to a more compact 5.00" inlet compressor housing, found on the Garrett GT42R/GT42RS. It allows the turbo to be used in tighter spaces, where room is a issue. Everything on the turbo remains the same, (wheels, etc)except for the compressor housing it's self.
